Hey everyone!! Well welcome back! Not much has been going on lately. Gus and I are settling into married life. We have a nice routine. He works in his garden and sales his veggies everday. I have almost mastered the logic skill. Once that is done I’ll have no trouble getting up to my LTW of being a surgeon like my mom. Well after a good week of being married Gus rolled the want of wanting a child. I still wasn’t sure but decided to at least try. Mom taught me to always do what I could to keep our relationship high.
I got the lullaby the first try. I really wasn’t sure I was pregnant. I missed my monthly friend but I had no nausea or vomiting. I got the bump while Gus was out in his garden. I just made dinner and messed around in the house waiting on him to come in to tell him the news. I should have rushed out to him, but we all know how much I hate the outdoors.
This is how it went:
Suki: “Gus, Can you come here after you get ready for bed.”
Gus: “Hey babe! Where’d you get that new dress.?”
Suki: “Well, I am pregnant. I have to wear maternity cloths now. Thats what I had to tell you.”
Gus: “Oh my… I gotta buy a crib, a highchair, toys, a bear…..”
Suki: “Honey!! Calm down. We will have plenty of time to set up a room for the baby.”
Gus eventually got his bearings and was thrilled about his new baby. The next day he gave me some cash and told me to go to the spa and get my nails done and to stop by the store if I wanted some maternity books. I secretly think he wants to read the books.
We spend some time together catching up on reading and discussing our future plans with kids. We are just so thrilled to be having our first child!!! We got through a great pregnancy. No nausea whatsoever. The day before I went into labor I had a constant backach but Gus massaged me and I felt pretty good. I went for a visit to my Uncle Luke’s place to see his kids. I haven’t seen them!! Their names are Woodrow and Kristin. Soon after I got back home I went into labor!!
Gus and I took a taxi to the hospital and got there just in time. We both wanted a boy so I had filled up on apple pancakes.
I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. He is a good, genius. We named him Edward!!
Ed really was a good baby. He gave us no problems at all. He was so good in fact that 2 days before his 1st birthday we tried for and got the lullaby again. We wanted another boy. He was just so perfect, we wanted another just like him. I also wanted to hurry up and have all my kids at one time so I could get back to work. Gardenings can’t pay for a family forever.
I wasn’t so lucky this time around. I had nausea and vomiting the whole day after the lullaby. I thought I may of had food posining. I just wasn’t this sick with Edward. It was miserable. These are the days I miss Mom. I need her to talk to and help me get through days like this. Finally Gus comes in and I tell him all about it.
This time around he wasn’t as scared and nervous. He was just really happy to be having another child. Our relationship is still really high and we are in love even still!! Thats one thing I want to do differently than my parents. Soon its Ed’s birthday and I invite my brothers and sisters. Richard and Paris both have little babies now.l
He has my Dad’s hair. He for sure doesn’t have mine or Gus’!! I wonder how this child inside my belly is going to affect him. Maybe we should have thought about that before we rushed into having another one so soon. Gus says all Edward will remember is having a brother or sister and it won’t be that bad!! I can’t wait until he says Momma!! Well that day soon comes and goes. Edward learns his skills just in time for me to go into labor.
I rush off to the hospital for the second time in horrible pain. Me and Gus are both exhausted and ready to go to bed. Of course, we couldn’t sleep we had work to do.
We have 3 little mouths to fee now. We had twin girls!! We have Alice who is a virtuoso, genius. We also have Bella who is an easily impressed, genius. We do get to squeeze in a short nap while the girls are resting too and Ed plays with his little truck he likes so much. When we brought the babies in he followed us around as we got things set up. All he kept saying was, “Momma, baby..DaDa hold.” He didn’t understand why Momma and Dada wouldnt hold him too!! Poor little man.
The next day Gus had to work on his garden and this left me inside with 3 screaming kids. I don’t see how Mom handled twice this many. Its horrible. The twins are constantly trying and Edward is getting lonely.
One night when we really was getting no sleep at all, Mom’s ghost comes out to help with the screaming kids. I’m telling yall Edward was so much better than these girls. I love them all the same, but I needed a break and Mom was great.
Finally all their birthdays rolled around. Edward’s was one day after the twins, but we aged them all at the same time. We had a huge party with as many guest as possible. We had a great night and all 3 kids slept great that night, even after the ton of birthday cake they had!!
This would be the last time I could hold little Ed in my arms. It was a sad moment!!
After Edward grew up, it was time for my screaming bundles of pink to age up. Maybe this will make them sleep through the night!!
The madness doesn’t stop and finally one night about 2AM I break down and call a babysitter so we can sleep. Another reason I had to do this was my mood was totally in the reds and I had work the next morning. I had to get some R&R!! Gus was just as tired as I and that gardening wasn’t taking care of itself!
Edward has a little girlfriend now. I have forgotten her name, but everyday after school he goes over there or she comes here. I’m glad he is making friends.
Finally the girls learned all their skills and birthday time rolled around yet again. FINALLY some sleep!! They also all got makeovers!!!
He looks alot like his grandpa. Edward turns out to be a good, ambitious, neurotic, genius!!!!
Alice grows up to be a virtuoso, genius. She also gains the neurotic trait!!
Last, but not least is Bella. She also is a neurotic genius, but she is also easily impressed.
Since the kids were grown up enough to hang out alone, I decide to go visiting. I find Richard with a new wife and baby.
